Clean up your act with Ransohoff

Would you buy components or parts that are grubby or dirty?

Some engineering companies are still supplying new or reconditioned components that are unclean! Following recent changes in solvent and environmental regulations, some organizations have not realized they are using ‘illegal’ processes. Now is the perfect time to improve your standards. D G Holmes Engineering Ltd trading as Ransohoff, is based in Bradford and is the UK representative for Ransohoff and Blackstone NEY both of the USA.

Having recently opened a new test centre, Ransohoff is welcoming companies to come and try out some of their cellular cleaning machines. The use of powerful ultrasonic's (Blackstone NEY are world leaders in this technology) cleans components to a high standard, using environmentally friendly water-based chemistries.

The cellular ultrasonic units GMC1818 DLX and GM3523 are proving very popular in the reconditioning, component manufacturing, and motor racing industries. The time saved by companies where operators are able to carry out useful work, and not having to stand, manually scrubbing, spraying and messing about with components gives a quick payback on labour costs, not forgetting the constant high quality of cleaned parts.

The company are major suppliers to the automotive, aerospace and medical industries and their range of ‘lean machines’ is proving popular in a whole range of applications. Managing director David Holmes and sales director Alan Holmes have been involved in the component cleaning industry for over 30 years and have considerable experience of designing and manufacturing machines in the UK. Their new company also offers a consultancy service in component cleaning.

Waste Wizard Water cleaning and oil recovery system
WasteWizard Combi Ransohoff are also world leaders in waste water treatment using new membrane technology, which they have incorporated into "The Waste Wizard" -

This system - pictured - fits easily alongside existing industrial washing machines to keep the cleaning fluid dirt free. By reducing the amount of waste water that needs to be removed, major financial savings can be made, however the chief advantage of the Waste Wizard is the increase in the machine's efficiency, through having a clean solution to clean the components.

New Bradford Based Test Centre Success...

Seeing is believing...since we opened our Test Centre, where clients can bring their components for cleaning trials, it has resulted in substantial orders from Blue Chip Companies in the Aerospace, Automobile, and Reconditioning Industries.

Components including airframe structures, turbine blade components, transmission gear components and cylinder heads, were all trialled with excellent cleaning results ,

Companies are delighted to be able bring their operatives and to be able to have a “Hands On” approach to cleaning their own components, away from the pressures of their own working environment.

This approach helps the companies making quick decisions with regard to placement of orders, with the satisfaction of knowing exactly how the components were cleaned and for how long

If you have items you would like us to test clean and to arrange a visit to our Test Centre call Alan on 01274 668 267

Machine shown GMP 3722

Ransohoff have started supplying large ultrasonic cleaning machines with a powered platform, oil separation, automatic lid and filtration.

The Plus Series™ line of products have been specifically developed to provide a low cost, high quality means of aqueous cleaning the widest variety of parts in a maintenance, repair or cellular manufacturing environment.  As well as offering low capital costs, they are designed to deliver superior cleaning at the lowest operating cost by minimizing operator involvement and consumables such as cleaning chemicals.

The machine shown has a basket size of 660 x 450 x 400 deep and will lift and clean a load of components up to 50kilo in weight. The machine comes with four different programmable recipes where you can program it to heat to the required temperature, ultrasonic wash vertical agitate wash, and plan the overall program time. These machines avoid heavy lifting and are fully automatic, freeing  operators to do other tasks while the cleaning operation is being done.

Two machines recently supplied are for cleaning heavy gauges before calibration and the second one is for critical large engine components.
